How to read this: The U.S. is the center of gravity of live poker — roughly 4 in 10 rooms and about 2 in 3 tables worldwide. Europe (led by the UK, France, Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic) is the second concentration. Asia-Pacific and Latin America are distant but growing thirds. Much of the world — mainland China, the Gulf states and most of the Middle East — bans commercial poker outright, which is why those regions are blank.

Method & confidence: There is no single global registry of poker rooms. Country counts are drawn primarily from World Casino Directory (land-based listings, pulled July 2026) and triangulated against PokerAtlas and Poker Pilgrims for the U.S. The U.S. can be counted two ways: ~590 rooms (all venues) or ~320 rooms with 6+ tables (“serious” rooms). Small, brand-new, or informal/unlicensed clubs are likely undercounted, so the worldwide figure is a range, not a census. Macau, Singapore and other small territories are included in the totals but may be hard to see on the map.
